A globally recognised design consultancy specialising in wayfinding, spatial strategy, and information design is seeking a confident and proactive Senior Wayfinding Planner to join its London office. In this role, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams to lead the development and implementation of wayfinding strategies across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will play a key role in delivering clear, user-focused solutions for complex environments while ensuring project and client deadlines are met. Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills are essential, alongside the ability to generate actionable insights and translate complex information into intuitive spatial experiences. You’ll also work collaboratively with international teams across a global studio network. As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to business growth by supporting client development, participating in work‑winning activities, and helping strengthen the company’s presence across the UK and international markets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of complex wayfinding and information design projects across interior and exterior environments
  • Conduct research and spatial analysis to develop clear, effective user navigation strategies
  • Translate insights and concepts into practical, user‑centred solutions
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate wayfinding strategies into wider project delivery
  • Manage competing priorities while supporting project and client deadlines
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, presentations, and client engagement
  • Participate in domestic and international travel for workshops, site visits, meetings, and presentations

Key Skills / Requirements:

  • Previous experience within wayfinding, spatial planning, transportation, urban design, architecture, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, environmental design, or a similar discipline
  • Proven experience delivering projects related to movement, user experience, transportation systems, or the built environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and consultation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, proposal preparation, and presentation delivery
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, and project collaboration tools
  • Experience with GIS, spatial data, BIM, Revit, or related digital planning tools would be advantageous
