About The Role: We’re working with a dynamic and vibrant design studio that is on the lookout for Head of Design to join their London-based team. This role is ideal for a creative professional who thrives in fast-paced settings and has solid experience across the full project lifecycle – particularly within the design and build environment. You will be stepping into a team that encourages open dialogue, shared ideas, and fresh perspectives. They are looking for someone who can bring strong design direction, confidence in pitching, and a collaborative mindset to the table. You’ll play a hands-on role in multiple projects, leading from early-stage concepts and client engagement through to delivery, working closely with both internal and external teams. This is a company that puts creativity and innovation at the forefront. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and lead design concepts for high-quality commercial and workplace environments
- Manage several projects at once, ensuring both creativity and consistency across deliverables
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, technical teams, and consultants throughout the design and implementation process
- Confidently present ideas and pitch to clients, winning buy-in with a clear and compelling approach
- Interpret and shape client briefs with a strategic and consultative mindset
- Support junior staff and contribute to the development of presentations and key project materials
Key Skills/Requirements:
- Degree qualified in interior design, interior architecture, architecture or a related discipline
- A solid background in workplace and commercial design projects
- Experience working on design and build projects is highly beneficial
- Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills when pitching ideas
- A self-starter with an adaptable, positive approach to teamwork and project challenges
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
