The Crowd are partnered with a leading design studio specialising in projects across the hospitality, commercial, and luxury residential sectors. They are seeking an Associate Interior Designer / Architect to join their successful and collaborative team. This is a key leadership position within the business, responsible for managing multiple mid- to large-scale hospitality and commercial projects, while overseeing creative direction, client relationships, and overall project delivery. The role is well-rounded and suited to a strong creative and technical thinker with proven experience in both design delivery and the commercial/operational running of a studio. It requires a balance of design leadership, proactive energy, and the ambition to guide project teams and deliver a strong pipeline of work. Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the management team to establish and uphold the design direction across multiple hospitality projects
- Communicate design intent clearly to both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination throughout all project stages
- Lead the delivery of multiple projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scope are successfully maintained
- Manage contracts, schedules, and project resources efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard
- Oversee financial performance, fee allocation, and profitability in collaboration with the finance team
- Act as a key client-facing representative, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships
- Support new business initiatives, including pitch preparation and presentation
- Ensure coordination between interior architecture, FF&E, and consultant teams
- Oversee documentation for quality, compliance, and consistency
- Review and approve schedules, drawings, and specifications as required
Key Skills / Requirements:
- A degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
- 7+ years of experience within a design or architecture studio, working on hospitality, workplace, or luxury residential projects
- Previous experience in the day to day running of studio operations
- UK project experience is essential for this role
- A proven track record in project or design management, with a solid understanding of both the creative and operational aspects of projects and business management
- Previous experience in a similar role overseeing mid to large scale hospitality, commercial, or luxury residential projects
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp is essential for this role
- The ability to manage multiple complex projects with confidence and precision
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external teams
