Job Description

About The Role:

Our client, a multidisciplinary and design-led practice, is looking for an Associate Urban Designer to join their London office. With a portfolio spanning strategic growth areas, town regeneration and placemaking, this could be the perfect opportunity to become a pivotal member of the team during an exciting period of growth.

You will play a key role in leading complex masterplanning and regeneration projects across the UK, working collaboratively with both public and private sector clients. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee project delivery, and ensure design quality from vision through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex masterplanning and regeneration projects across the UK, working collaboratively with public and private sector clients
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee project delivery, and ensure design quality from concept to completion
  • Provide strategic insight and support business development, helping to build and sustain strong client relationships
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth and development of the urban design team
  • Contribute to the production of site strategies, masterplans, planning applications, and policy/guidance documents

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • A degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design
  • At least 8 years of professional experience within architecture, landscape or urban design practice
  • Strong understanding of UK planning policy, building regulations, and design guidance
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and hand drawing
  • Experience leading complex urban design and masterplanning projects
  • Excellent communication skills across written, visual and verbal formats
  • Proven experience in client engagement and project leadership
