To support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pub, dining, and accommodation areas, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, team leadership, and smooth operational delivery across all facets of the business.

Key Responsibilities- Operations
- Support the GM in running daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Ensure the smooth coordination between the bar, kitchen, and rooms.
- Open and close the venue as Duty Manager on a rota basis.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety across all areas.
- Guest Experience
- Deliver a warm, welcoming environment for all guests whether dining, drinking, or staying overnight.
- Deal promptly and professionally with guest enquiries, bookings, and complaints.
- Ensure standards of service consistently exceed guest expectations.
- People Management
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff.
- Lead by example, motivating and managing team performance on shift.
- Support rotas, holiday planning, and shift coverage to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Help drive a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Food & Beverage
- Maintain quality and consistency in food and drink offerings in line with the company standards.
- Assist in managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
- Uphold licensing laws and health & safety, food hygiene, and allergen regulations.
- Accommodation Oversight
- Oversee room bookings and liaise with housekeeping to ensure rooms are guest-ready.
- Support the maintenance of room standards and guest amenities.
- Respond to guest feedback and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Finance & Profitability
- Assist in achieving financial targets including sales, margins, and cost control.
- Support cashing up, end-of-day procedures, and banking.
- Contribute ideas to drive revenue across food, drink, and rooms.
- Marketing & Promotion
- Help promote offers, events, and experiences in line with the pubs brand.
- Engage with guests and support the use of social media and review platforms.

- Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in a similar hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food and drink service.
- Confident in team leadership and delivering excellent customer service.
- Hands-on approach with a can-do attitude.
