We are looking for an experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our team at Black Rock Restaurants. Our obsession with going above and beyond is inspired by the Persian concept of “Nooshe jân”. Used in a similar way to “bon appetit”, it also has a deeper meaning that translates more like “may it nourish your soul”. Because the experience we want to create goes way beyond a nice meal. We talk about our drinks, service, and atmosphere because we know they’re as important to customers as our food. Every detail, from the quality of the ingredients, to the lighting, acoustics, and the pacing of the meal, feeds the feeling of well‑being our customers leave with.

Founded by acclaimed Brighton‑based restaurateur Razak Helalat, the Black Rock Restaurants Group comprises Brighton’s The Salt Room, The Coal Shed in London and Brighton, Burnt Orange and most recently, Tutto. As a Senior Chef de Partie you will deliver dishes made with quality food and products, from fresh, using local products, prepared with skill and passion. Your passion for food, flexibility and impeccable attention to detail and experience will mean that you will be able to run multiple sections in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Self‑motivated natural team player that thrives under pressure.
  • Great communicator and exceptionally well organised.
  • Keen to thrive in the busy kitchen environment.
  • A genuine passion for creating the finest dishes.
  • Handle fresh ingredients, prepare them to the highest standards.
  • Maintain a professional manner while under pressure.
  • Ensure Health & Safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Eligible to work full‑time in the UK.

Benefits:

  • A truly competitive pay package.
  • Free food and drinks when working.
  • Team incentives, trips and rewards.
  • Treat yourself, family and friends to 50% discount in any of our restaurants.
  • Book your birthday off – guaranteed.
  • An additional day’s holiday every year for the first five years.
  • We reward Refer a Friend.
  • Access to our cycle to work scheme.
  • Flexible hours.

By joining Black Rock Restaurants, you will become part of one of the leading restaurants groups.
