For UK Only Postings: The Craneware Group supports a flexible work environment as well as a collaborative and teamwork focused atmosphere. Employees will be expected to work a hybrid working arrangement spending 40% of their time per month in the Tanfield office - approx 2 days per week.
The Analyst plays a key role in the delivery of high quality software in a fast paced and dynamic agile environment. Balances speed of delivery with high quality customer deliverables through black box static and dynamic testing, requirements analysis, creation and execution of test cases and defect management.
You Will Be:
- Understanding and interpreting software requirements, acceptance criteria and customer issues to weigh against developer implementation.
- Ensuring that sufficient test coverage from a Functional, Scenario, UI and Usability perspective is achieved.
- Creating and maintaining suitable test environments for all software testing including set-up of software being tested and population and configuring of test data.
- Preparing, reviewing and executing test cases to agreed high quality standards.
- Working successfully in cross functional sprint teams, actively participating in scrum meetings and retrospectives to provide honest feedback with regard to successes and failures during each project.
- Constantly seek to enhance knowledge to improve product, domain, competency and teamwork skills.
- Ensuring all deliverables relating to QA are completed to a high quality and in a timely manner for any assigned projects.
- Ensuring high quality standards with regard to process, use of test tools, statistics capture, test documentation and execution are followed and maintained, using Craneware Application Lifecycle Management methodology.
- Working with colleagues to implement and follow ongoing improvements to process and quality standards to benefit the overall test effort.
You Will Bring:
- 2 to 3 years' experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Ability to demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to investigation and problem solving.
- Competent in performing some Black-box Testing Techniques.
- Ability to perform critical thinking by evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action.
- Demonstrate effective estimation of QA tasks.
- Identify and create quality test cases and other test documentation.
- Ability to efficiently organize, co-ordinate and prioritize day to day work load.
- Execute smoke, experience and ad-hoc based testing in association with structured tests.
- Good working knowledge of tools required to carry out QA within Craneware.
- Knowledge of the Craneware Application Lifecycle Management methodology (CALM) and how to apply it.
- Ability to effectively work within a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
