Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pottery Technician and Piece Sorter specialising in House Pottery to join our creative team in Manchester. We’re newly opened and need help with our kiln, glazing and piece sorting. We need someone a few times a week, roughly 20 hours but can be more or less depending on the class demand and your availability.
Responsibilities
- Sorting and wrapping up guest's pieces - 60% of the role
- Glazing and reglazing - 10%
- Loading and unloading kiln - 20%
- Cleaning - 10%
Skills
- Speed - we need speedy people, who can be accurate and efficient
- Accuracy - one small mistake ends in a big deal with unhappy customers
- Independent - initiative to determine what needs doing and when.
Total freedom to work when you want. Prefer working 4am-11am? No problem. As long as you do the work that we agree, you can do it whenever you wish. Pay depends on speed and accuracy
