Overview
Personal Care Assistant for a university student based in Southampton. We are recruiting an enthusiastic, reliable Personal Assistant to support a wheelchair user with personal care, cooking, cleaning and daily living. The role accompanies the student as she begins her life at university (Solent University, Southampton) from September or as soon as possible. The PA will support her at university in daily living, domestically and socially, and should be like-minded with her interests.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and daily living assistance as required
- Assist with cooking, cleaning and household tasks
- Support social activities and university life
- Help maintain independence and privacy while ensuring safety
Qualifications and Requirements
- Clean automatic driving licence, minimum age 25 for insurance purposes (Essential)
- Confident driver; you may be required to drive the client’s van
- Physical fitness, patience and a caring nature
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Mature and responsible attitude
- Fluent in English
- Clean and tidy appearance
