Our AML team is responsible for ensuring the Society's compliance with regulations by operating defences in relation to money laundering, sanctions and terrorist financing. We are recruiting a Customer Due Diligence Analyst to join them on a 12-month opportunity. The role holder will conduct comprehensive due diligence (including Enhanced Due Diligence) reviews on Retail and Business Banking clients and counterparties, assess operational legitimacy, ownership structures and commercial activity for Business Banking clients, and complete customer risk assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out Enhanced Due Diligence where required in accordance with the Money Laundering Regulations.
  • Manage customers within the Society's risk appetite and document investigations using appropriate evidential standards.
  • Provide recommendations for outcomes on investigations based on verified evidence for approval.
  • Disclose where appropriate using the prescribed format to the National Crime Agency (NCA).
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including other regulated firms and law enforcement, using a variety of sources (including publicly available information).
  • Contribute to ongoing monitoring of customers to ensure ongoing compliance.

Working arrangements

The role operates Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. When up to speed, the team operates on a hybrid basis and is on-site at least 1 day a week in Coventry or Manchester.
