The Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS) is seeking to appoint a Planning & Development Officer. The post holder will work in the Building & Development Team and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop, manage and implement the planning and development of the school estate to meet the needs of all users through:
- Estate planning, development and implementation
- Supporting the delivery of effective and efficient services
- Delivering projects successfully
- Team working and partnership working including providing support to Principals and Boards of Governors
- Contributing to policy and strategy including supporting the development and delivery of CCMS statutory duty in relation to Area Planning
Essential Criteria
At commencement of appointment applicants must have:
- Either a Degree in Project Management, Planning or a Construction related discipline or equivalent standard of qualification, e.g. Foundation Degree or Higher-Level Apprenticeship (HLA) AND be able to demonstrate knowledge, experience and use in Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- OR 5 years relevant industry experience in Construction, Project Management, Property Planning, or Estate Planning, including knowledge and experience of Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Desirable Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate experience in:
- Estate planning or management
- Have a minimum of two years post-graduation experience in each of the following areas: Project Management in the delivery of capital projects; NEC3 Suite of Contracts
- Experience in the education or public sector
