About us
At The Cotswold Company, we make furniture and homeware to be lived with for years. Every piece comes with our 15-year guarantee. We're a certified B Corp, and most of our customers shop with us online. That makes our website our biggest showroom, and we want it to be as well kept as any of our shops.
About the role
Think of this as digital shopkeeping. You'll keep our site accurate, tidy and ready for customers every day: the right copy, the right images, the right prices, in the right order. You'll work alongside our Online Merchandiser and take on the daily detail that makes a considered purchase feel easy. It's a new role, and there's room to grow it.
What you'll do
- Keep product listings accurate, from copy and imagery to pricing and attributes
- Set category page order and sort rules, working with the Online Merchandiser
- Tag products for cross-sell, bundles and shop-the-look
- Add new lines, remove discontinued ones and update categories as the range changes each season
- Build and schedule promotional banners and landing pages from the creative you're given
- Check every change against its brief, before and after it goes live
- Pull regular content reports from GA4 for the team
- Look after product data and feeds, and flag gaps such as missing images or broken links
- Walk the site regularly to spot display, stock or navigation issues, and log fixes with our tech team
- Brief simple asset requests to content and photography, and check what comes back
What you'll bring
- Hands-on experience keeping an ecommerce site's content, product data and merchandising accurate, perhaps from an online merchandising, ecommerce coordinator or trading support role
- Confidence and accuracy in Excel or Google Sheets
- Enough comfort with GA4, or a similar tool, to pull and read basic reports
- Clear writing, and a sharp eye for errors and tone
- Good organisation, including handling several small deadlines at once
- An interest in retail, home or interiors, and pride in doing the basics well
You'll be quick to learn new systems. We'll train you fully on ours: Storyblok, Pimberly and Algolia.
Nice to have
- Experience with Storyblok, Pimberly or Algolia
- Exposure to Contentsquare or a similar experience-analytics tool
- A background in fast-moving retail or ecommerce
How we work
- Lead with Care: in the detail of every product page and promotion.
- Inspire Possibility: presenting our range so customers can picture it at home.
- Focus on Impact: fixing what customers notice first.
- Endure with Purpose: doing the basics brilliantly, every day.
We welcome applicants from every background. If you need any adjustments during the process, just let us know.
