We are really excited to announce this new opportunity to join our existing and talented team in Lichfield. You will love everything about being a Brand Ambassador for the company and delivering our product to the highest possible standard nationwide. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day warehouse operations, working closely with all key stakeholders within the business to drive operational excellence and continuously improve our customer experience.
You will be trusted, encouraged, and motivated to create a long-term strategy that not only delivers performance improvement but also long-term cost-efficient changes. To ensure that all staff are always adhering to the company's Policies and Procedures, flexibility is required as the business grows; operational hours may change from initially covering 06:00hrs-22:00hrs across 2 shifts to operating 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Main responsibilities:- Responsibility for Health & Safety of all employees and visitors at the warehouse, working closely with The Health & Safety Officer and Warehouse Operations Manager.
- Maintain all SMART warehouse KPIs.
- Ensure throughput is managed with business targets.
- Troubleshoot any tactical challenges and plan as per business strategic direction.
- Maintain stock integrity and alignment within the Warehouse Management System, working closely with the Inventory Manager and team.
- Focus on reducing damage and errors within company requirements and produce reports to demonstrate underperformance and improvements.
- Championing the Company’s values - leading by example.
- Recruitment of warehouse staff.
- Regular One to Ones with team members, in addition to quarterly PDCs as per Company requirements.
- Performance management of all Warehouse team members in line with performance policies of The Company.
- Good communicator who can positively engage with team members and relevant stakeholders.
- Must be able to lead by example and champion the values of the Company.
- Must have good attention to detail and a passion to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- Know what good looks like and have an aptitude for enabling and developing others and using technology successfully.
- Passionate and driven, constantly looking at what and how improvements can be made.

- Financially aware.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Warehouse Operations.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HS&E methods and monitoring.
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Previous budgetary awareness.
- People Management experience, including employee relations, performance and absence management.
- Developing strategic plans to target underperforming areas.
Whilst not essential, it would be great if you had:
- Previous experience in furniture or homeware-related environment.
- eCommerce operations/systems.
- 5S or Lean experience.
- Continuous Process Improvement.
- Previous experience of WAERlinx WMS.
