We are seeking a detail‑driven Senior Merchandising Assistant to support our Merchandising team. This role plays a key part in managing end‑to‑end product performance across furniture ranges, ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time.
Working closely with Buying, Supply Chain, and Distribution, you will help manage long lead times, complex SKUs, and varied product dimensions and specifications, while supporting commercial decision‑making and mentoring junior team members. This is a great role for someone looking to build a career in Merchandising!
This is a full-time role and you will be expected to spend a minimum of 2 days each week in either our London or Norwich office.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Merchandiser with line level product forecasting
- Raising purchase orders in Netsuite and communicating to appropriate parties
- Manage production plans and supplier trackers ensuring accurate information available across all systems at all times and highlighting discrepancies and deviations from expected delivery schedules
- Managing and investigating stock discrepancies between Netsuite and Warehouse Management System
- Assisting Warehouse with booking in containers when necessary, by liaising with third parties
- Assist in preparation of accurate and on time Weekly & Monthly Trading Packs
- Assist in producing Range Review/Strategy Packs – reviewing performance and building future product offer
- In season analysis as required
- Review detailed level performance and flags any risks/opportunities
- Maintenance of Netsuite data, Demand Planning Tool and Range Plan data
A genuine interest in developing a career in Merchandising is essential, along with a highly numerical and analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
Qualifications, skills & experience - essential:
- Demonstrable interest in the UK furniture and homewares markets
- Computer-literate - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, to at least intermediate standard
Whilst not essential, it would be great if you had:
- 1 year+ experience of working as a Merchandising Assistant
- Experience of UK furniture and homeware markets
