Role Description: Finance Executive (Retail / E-commerce – Electric Fires Fireplaces & Media Walls) North West (On-site)
We are a fast-growing retailer specialising in electric fires and media wall solutions, selling both in-store and online. We are looking for a hands-on Finance Executive to support our financial operations and provide insight into product performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce weekly & monthly financial reports from Shopify and internal systems
- Analyse sales to identify best-selling products, margins, and trends
- Support departmental budgets and monitor expenditure
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Manage and track stock purchases and supplier costs
- Oversee ordering of supplies and cost control with Finance team
- Maintain accurate records using Sage accounting software
- AAT Level 3/4 or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
- Sage & Shopify experience
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, or product-based business
- Strong understanding of Shopify or similar platforms
- Experience with VAT returns
- Proficiency in Sage (essential)
- Good Excel skills (reporting, analysis)
- Experience working with physical products / stock
- Understands profit margins, cost of goods, and markups
- Comfortable working with fast-moving SKUs
- Commercially aware — not just reporting numbers, but explaining them
