Overview

As our Business Support Officer (Commercial), you\'ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of Trinity House\'s commercial services, which include Marine Aids to Navigation contracts and tourism operations at our visitor centres and holiday cottages. Working as part of a small and dynamic team you will help ensure these activities run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the generation of commercial income in support of the General Lighthouse Fund.

You\'ll be a strong organiser with excellent attention to detail, providing essential business and administrative support across a wide range of functions. From assisting with commercial contracts for buoy and maintenance services, to supporting the coordination and promotion of lighthouse visitor centres, no two days will be the same. You\'ll also work closely with internal departments and external partners, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential business and administrative support across a wide range of functions to ensure activities run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Work with internal departments and external partners, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 qualifications in relevant functional skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in handling financial data
  • An element of creativity and initiative in problem-solving
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A full driving licence is desirable due to occasional travel to our sites (flexible and pre-planned)
