We are seeking a dedicated, highly skilled Chief Engineer to join our team and take a leading role in maintaining all vessel machinery and electrical/technical systems. In this position, you will oversee the full management, maintenance, and technical operations of our lighthouses, buoys, and other maritime assets. You will also be responsible for supervising all maintenance and survey schedules, with a strong emphasis on the onboard planned preventative maintenance system.

What will you do:
- Lead and direct a small onboard engineering team.
- Ensure the safe operation, maintenance and repair of all shipboard machinery and electrical/technical systems.
- Carry out routine planned and corrective maintenance.
- Oversee maintenance and survey schedules, with particular focus on the planned preventative maintenance system (MMIS).
- Contribute to the effective technical operation of our lighthouses, buoys and associated maritime assets.
- Produce clear, accurate reports and maintain strong communication with shore-based teams.
What are we looking for:
- A Chief Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency (III/2) Motor Ships only, or Motor & Steam.
- A valid ENG 1 Medical Certificate.
- Thorough knowledge of diesel-electric propulsion systems.
- Understanding of ISM/ISPS Codes and Maintenance Management Information Systems.
- Well-developed IT and communication skills, including report writing.
- Knowledge of DP systems (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working within onboard planned preventative maintenance regimes.
