An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Company Secretary to join a leading global organisation. Reporting to the Group Company Secretary, the role offers exposure across all business areas, supporting a broad range of company secretarial, legal compliance, and governance activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective corporate governance, statutory compliance, and best practice across the group. Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Draft board minutes, resolutions, and corporate authorisations.
- Maintain statutory records, monitor corporate governance developments, and support group-wide legal compliance programmes.
- Assist with corporate simplification programmes, M&A transactions, and internal reorganisation projects.
- Maintain the group structure chart and oversee subsidiary governance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external advisers, regulators, and auditors to support business objectives
Experience and Qualifications
- CGI, legal or accountancy qualification.
- Experience in a complex, multinational organisation or professional services.
- Possess a strong understanding of UK company law and governance best practices.
Attitudes and Behaviours
- Proactive and enthusiastic professional.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects and drive required changes from inception to conclusion.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
