Freelance Social Community Manager – Remote

Freelance Rate: £20 per hour

Location: Work from home

Hours: Flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends

Are you a social media enthusiast with a keen eye for detail and a passion for community engagement? We’re looking for a Freelance Social Community Manager to join our team and help monitor and manage online interactions for our clients. This is a remote, home‑based role offering flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. In particular we are seeking people who can regularly work ALL of the following shifts:

  • Thursdays 2pm - 9pm
  • Fridays 6pm - 9pm
  • Saturdays 9am - 2pm
  • Sundays every other week 9am - 2pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and @mentions across various clients' social media platforms
  • Ensure brand tone of voice and messaging guidelines are followed in all interactions
  • Engage with audiences, fostering positive conversations and community growth
  • Identify and elevate potential issues or trends to the appropriate team members
  • Provide concise and accurate reporting on engagement and community sentiment

About you:

  • Previous experience in social media management, community moderation, or written customer engagement
  • Excellent written communication skills with a professional and friendly tone
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask and work independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable internet connection and access to a computer
