Salary: £37,694 - £38,990 Location: Belfast Closing date for applications: Wednesday 5 August 2026 at 5pm The role The Consumer Council is recruiting for a Senior Policy Officer to join our Financial Services Team.

We are seeking an experienced and confident policy professional who can build trusted stakeholder relationships, analyse complex information and data, and develop evidence-based policy positions that deliver positive outcomes for consumers.

If you share our passion for championing consumers, this is an exciting opportunity to influence policy, advocate for consumer interests, and help advance financial inclusion across Northern Ireland.

Analysing complex data or information and presenting your analysis in an understandable way to others.

Managing, coordinating and delivering multiple projects across teams within agreed timescales.

Developing and maintaining effective and trusted stakeholder relationships to deliver positive outcomes for consumers, service users and/or businesses.

Working within a research and policy environment.

Salary & Benefits: Salary: £37,694 - £38,990 At the Consumer Council, you will receive an excellent pension scheme with 34.25% employer contribution, 25 days annual leave and 12 statutory holidays and excellent opportunities for professional development.

The Consumer Council currently operates a hybrid working model.
