Looking for a coordination role where you can build specialist knowledge and develop your career? Some people naturally enjoy bringing order to complexity - they're the people who can juggle multiple priorities, spot when something doesn't quite add up and keep projects moving without losing sight of the detail. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Part of Consultus, an award-winning international energy and sustainability consultancy, Connectus Utilities helps commercial developers, housebuilders and construction partners manage utility connections across their sites, helping projects progress without unnecessary delays or cost. As our team continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Coordinator to join us.

You don't need previous utilities experience, but you will need experience in a coordination role where you've managed multiple priorities, worked with different stakeholders and kept projects or activities moving. We'll teach you the technical side.

What does the role involve?

You'll coordinate utility works across electricity, gas, water, telecoms and sewerage, helping to ensure projects progress smoothly from start to finish. One day you might be speaking with network operators to understand the progress of a utility connection. The next you could be reviewing plans, coordinating contractors, updating clients or making sure key milestones are on track. You'll become the person who understands how all the different pieces fit together, helping clients navigate what can often be a complex process. If you enjoy variety and like solving problems, you'll feel right at home.

What you'll bring

We're not expecting you to know the utilities industry already, but you will have experience in a coordination role where you've had to:

  • Manage multiple projects, jobs or activities at the same time.
  • Work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prioritise competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Build relationships and confidently follow things through.
  • Stay organised in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Alongside this, you'll be someone who:

  • Learns quickly and enjoys developing new technical knowledge.
  • Thinks logically and enjoys solving problems.
  • Can understand how different pieces of information fit together.
  • Is comfortable working with plans, layouts or technical information.
  • Spots when something doesn't quite look right and asks the right questions.
  • Takes ownership and enjoys making things happen.

Whether your coordination experience has been gained in a project-based, operational or customer-focused environment, what matters most is your ability to manage competing priorities, communicate confidently with different stakeholders and learn quickly. If that sounds like you, we'll provide the technical knowledge to help you build a successful career in utilities.

Why join Connectus Utilities?

This isn't just another coordination role. You'll develop specialist expertise in a growing industry, work alongside experienced colleagues and have genuine opportunities to progress as your knowledge and confidence develop. Because we're a close-knit team, you'll quickly become involved in meaningful work, take ownership of your projects and make a real impact.

A few practical bits

This is a hybrid role based in our Rochford office. As you'll be learning from experienced colleagues and working closely with the wider team, you'll be expected to attend the office a minimum of three days per week, with additional office attendance during your training and development where appropriate.

Apply

If you're an experienced Coordinator looking to build a long-term career in a specialist industry and enjoy bringing structure to complex projects, we'd love to hear from you.
