You’ll work closely with sales and marketing and enjoy the variety that comes from speaking with different businesses every day.
And as you gain confidence, you’ll have a clear path forward. Whether you see yourself progressing into Business Development, Sales Development, Account Executive roles, leadership or exploring other areas of the energy industry, you’ll have structured development, transparent progression routes and the support to move at a pace that suits your ambition.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reaching out to potential SME customers through outbound calls and email to introduce our energy services across electricity, gas, water and related products.
- Building genuine rapport and creating a positive first impression of Assured Energy.
- Qualifying leads by understanding business needs, gathering key information and identifying genuine opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate notes and pipeline information within the CRM.
- Working towards achievable activity and revenue based targets, celebrating your progress as you go.
- Managing partners, affiliates and introducers to drive increased lead flow.
- Live transferring prospects to the sales consultants or arranging follow up calls.
- Staying aware of energy market trends, contract types and customer considerations.
- Supporting colleagues, sharing best practice and contributing to a positive and collaborative sales culture.
What we’re looking for:
- At least twelve months experience in outbound calling, sales, lead generation or telemarketing.
- Understanding of the sales cycle and how to move prospects through a pipeline.
- B2B or energy experience is useful but not essential.
- Confident communicator who can influence and build trust quickly.
- Strong written communication for clear and professional email outreach.
- Target driven mindset with resilience and a natural interest in personal success.
- Comfortable working in a KPI driven environment.
- Strong organisation, good time management and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and digital tools.
- Good IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.
- Warm, proactive and self motivated.
- Someone who enjoys building relationships and supporting team success.
- Adaptable, friendly and keen to keep learning.
What you’ll get from us:
- Up to £27,000 base salary plus uncapped commission.
- Realistic and achievable OTE of £35,750, with high performers earning significantly more.
- Transparent and rewarding commission structure.
- Hybrid working model.
- Structured onboarding and ongoing coaching.
- Clear progression pathways across Assured Energy and the wider Group.
- The chance to develop into management, specialist roles or senior sales.
- Supportive, collaborative culture with regular incentives, recognition and team rewards.
- Performance based incentives throughout the year.
- The advantage of selling for a trusted brand.
