We are seeking a SOX SME with deep expertise in manual control testing within Tax processes. The role will focus on executing design and operating effectiveness testing for SOX controls and supporting audit queries.
Location: Hybrid / London (3 days in office)
Rate: DOE
Hours: Standard Business Hours
Start: February 2026
Duration: 3 month contract with possibility of extension
Responsibilities:
- Perform SOX design and operating effectiveness (D&I) testing for Tax manual controls
- Execute testing for approximately 27 Tax manual controls
- Assess control design, execution evidence, and compliance with SOX requirements
- Document testing results clearly and to audit standards
- Liaise with Tax stakeholders to obtain evidence and clarify control execution
- Support audit walkthroughs and respond to audit queries
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
- Financial Services background
- Extensive SOX manual controls testing experience
- Strong knowledge of Tax-related controls
- Audit experience (internal or external)
