Job Description
The Consultancy Group are currently supporting a £1bn turnover, market-leading technology business who are investing heavily in their ERP capabilities and are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant to be part of their Digital Transformation Journey.
As a BC Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery, optimisation, and support of their Microsoft Business Central solution, ensuring it aligns with business needs and drives operational excellence. You will partner closely with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT to design, configure, and implement enhancements, while ensuring best practices and maximising system ROI.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workshops with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Configure and customise Business Central modules to meet business needs (Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, etc.).
- Support the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering through to UAT, go-live, and post-implementation support.
- Provide functional expertise to ensure optimal system performance and integration with other business systems.
- Produce functional documentation, training materials, and user guides.
- Act as the primary point of contact for BC-related queries and escalations.
- Work with development teams to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Identify process improvements and advise on BC best practices.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) Functional Consultant.
- Strong understanding of BC modules, particularly Consolidations
- Experience in end-to-end ERP implementation, configuration, and support.
- Excellent business process mapping skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
