The Role
- Collaborate with Operational Leads to manage the financial and commercial performance of contracts, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Provide strategic financial insight and analysis to support decision-making and improve contract performance.
- Support commercial discussions and negotiations with NHS Trusts and Project Co stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate billing in line with contractual mechanisms and oversee all contract variations.
- Lead the production of monthly accounts, ensuring accurate reporting across WIP, lifecycle, variations, and project activity.
- Drive robust budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying risks and opportunities and supporting action plans.
- Improve cash flow through effective debt management and process optimisation.
- Produce high-quality management information to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Play an active role in client meetings, representing the finance function with credibility.
- Lead and develop a site-based finance team, fostering engagement and high performance.
About You
- Qualified accountant/QBE or Part Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong commercial finance experience.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate as a true business partner.
- Experience managing complex contracts, including billing mechanisms and variations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
- Experience leading or mentoring teams.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
