The Consultancy Group are working with a leading Sports Media business on a Group Financial Accountant opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Group Finance
  • Coordinate and communicate month-end timetables across the Group
  • Manage period-end close in NetSuite
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
  • Maintain balance sheet schedules (fixed assets, goodwill, intangibles, investments, deferred tax, NCI)
  • Oversee chart of accounts in NetSuite and Adaptive
  • Reporting
    • Coordinate and review subsidiary submissions, resolving queries
    • Prepare consolidated Group P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
  • External Reporting
    • Support statutory accounts preparation and disclosures
    • Review subsidiary statutory accounts (with Group FC)
    • Assist with GAAP to AASB adjustments (e.g. leases)

    • Stakeholder & Communication
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
    • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Qualified accountant with 0–2 years post-qualification experience
    • Previous experience in group reporting preferred
    • Experience with NetSuite preferred
    • Exposure to media and/or sports industry advantageous
