The Consultancy Group is a high‑growth executive search and Interim Management firm specialising in Value Creation, spanning Strategy, M&A, and Business Transformation. We partner with global corporates, alongside mid and large‑cap Private Equity funds, their portfolio companies, and Tier‑1 consulting firms including BCG, Bain, McKinsey, Deloitte, EY‑Parthenon and others.

Following the completion of our 5‑year strategy, we are entering an exciting new growth phase with a clearly defined path to business exit within 5–7 years. Transformation has been identified as one of the most significant opportunity areas for our next chapter.

To accelerate that growth, we are seeking an exceptional Director of Value Creation & Transformation to lead, build, and scale this high‑potential vertical.

The Opportunity

This is a rare, entrepreneurial leadership role for a senior search professional seeking equity, P&L ownership, and a genuine route to MD/CEO within a fast‑scaling search firm.

You will take full ownership of our Transformation practice, shaping strategy, driving revenue, and expanding our footprint across global corporates, private equity, portfolio companies, and consulting clients.

This is one of the highest‑growth areas within our Value Creation offering, and you will play a pivotal role in defining its trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the strategic direction of the Transformation practice, ensuring alignment with TCG’s Value Creation strategy.
• Build, scale, and lead a high‑performing team with full P&L accountability.
• Identify new markets, service lines, and commercial opportunities across Transformation, Turnaround, Change, Operating Model & Post‑Deal Value Creation.
• Client Development & Delivery
  • Develop and expand senior relationships across:
  • Global corporates (FTSE, Fortune, listed and non‑listed)
  • Mid‑ and large‑cap Private Equity
  • Portfolio companies across all stages of the deal cycle
  • Tier‑1 strategy and transformation consulting firms
  • Chief Transformation Officers
  • Value Creation, PMO, and Post‑Merger Integration specialists
  • Transformation Directors/Partners within consultancies
  • Leadership & Equity Value Creation
• Contribute to company‑wide strategy, board‑level discussions and long‑range planning.
• Drive operational excellence, innovation in search delivery, and best‑in‑class client experience.
• Play a meaningful role in the next 5–7 year business plan leading to exit and shared value realisation.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

• Proven track record operating as a Director or high‑performing Senior Manager within executive search.
• Deep credibility within Transformation, Value Creation, Change, Strategy, or M&A‑adjacent markets.
• Strong portfolio of relationships across corporates, PE, or consulting (ideally a mix).
• Demonstrable ability to build and scale a practice, including team leadership experience.
