You have reached the point where you are no longer just delivering great strategy. You are selling it, shaping it, and taking responsibility for the commercial outcome. But if you are honest, the large consulting model may now feel misaligned.
Our client offers a genuinely disruptive alternative. They are a MBB founded boutique strategy and growth consultancy specialising in consumer and retail, built for senior consultants who want real ownership, real accountability, and real upside. This is not a lifestyle boutique, nor a stepping stone. It is a true eat-what-you-kill model for people ready to back themselves.
The proposition
- Clear revenue ownership, with transparent economics and meaningful personal upside
- Entrepreneurial autonomy to build your own client base, shape propositions, and influence strategy
- Minimal hierarchy with no leverage treadmill and no internal competition for credit
- Senior client exposure through direct relationships with founders, CEOs, and boards
- A platform to build, combining the infrastructure and credibility of a firm with the freedom of an owner
The role
As a founding Partner level contributor, you will:
- Originate and sell work within consumer and retail, or adjacent growth topics
- Lead and deliver high-impact strategy and growth engagements
- Own senior client relationships end to end
- Play an active role in shaping the firm’s commercial strategy and market positioning
The profile
Principal, (second year or equivalent), or early Partner from a top-tier or strong strategy consultancy. Demonstrable sales track record, even if early stage. Strong personal interest and credibility in consumer and retail. Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, and comfortable with ambiguity. Motivated by ownership, accountability, and upside rather than protection or brand cover.
Who this is for
This opportunity is for someone who:
- Has already started to sell and wants to fully own the outcome
- Is frustrated by capped upside and blurred credit
- Wants to help build a firm, not just progress within one
If you are ready for less safety net, more control, and materially greater reward, this is a rare chance to step into a truly alternative consulting model.
