Commercial Finance Analyst

Location: London – Hybrid

The Consultancy Group is working with a Global Hospitality business with a T/O of over 20 Billion. This is a great opportunity to provide commercial leadership across the Sub-Segment, driving best practices, optimizing profitability, and minimizing risk.

This role focuses on data-driven decision-making, strategic analysis of new opportunities, and financial performance enhancement while supporting operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial Leadership: Assess contract performance, implement best practices, and drive growth opportunities while ensuring profitability.
• Data Analysis & Decision Support: Gather, analyse, and present data to enhance decision-making and improve profitability.
• Strategic Growth & Financial Oversight: Identify and execute interventions for business growth in competitive environments while maintaining financial stability.
• Operational Partnership: Act as a trusted financial advisor to operational teams, leading budgeting and forecasting, addressing client queries, and resolving technical financial matters.
• Client & Funding Management: Secure contract variations and leverage government funding to achieve equitable, profit-optimizing solutions, particularly in the context of pandemic-related challenges.
• Performance Improvement: Identify causes of underperformance, develop sustainable solutions, and support their implementation.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial accounts to the Segment Finance Director.
• Cross-Segment Collaboration: Contribute to company-wide projects, share best practices, and implement learnings across segments.
• Investment Analysis: Provide accurate post-decision analysis of project outcomes.

About You:

• Qualified Accountant: Professional accounting qualification with strong technical expertise.
• Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to make strategic commercial decisions and negotiate effectively.
• Effective Communication: Skilled at simplifying complex financial and commercial data for diverse stakeholders across various formats.
