The Opportunity
£85k plus Bonus. Our client is a leading global transport organisation undertaking a significant multi-year transformation programme spanning operations, technology, customer experience, commercial performance and organisational effectiveness. To support this journey, they are seeking a high-calibre Transformation Management Office (TMO) Consultant to join the central transformation function in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded professional with a consulting background who wants to play a key role in driving strategic transformation within a complex, international business. The successful candidate will work directly with senior executives, programme leaders and transformation sponsors to monitor delivery, challenge performance, identify risks and ensure value is being realised across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Transformation Governance & Delivery: Support the governance and execution of strategic transformation initiatives across the organisation. Track programme progress, milestones, dependencies and risks across multiple workstreams. Prepare steering committee packs, executive reporting and programme updates for senior stakeholders. Maintain portfolio-level reporting and provide insight into programme performance and delivery health. Support decision-making through data-driven analysis and structured problem solving.
- Value Creation & Benefits Realisation: Track transformation benefits and value delivery against agreed business cases. Support the identification of value leakage, risks and opportunities across the programme portfolio. Develop frameworks and reporting to monitor financial, operational and customer outcomes. Work closely with workstream leads to validate assumptions, benefits and delivery plans.
- Strategic Programme Support: Conduct analysis into operational, commercial and strategic performance drivers. Assist with transformation prioritisation, resource allocation and scenario planning. Support the development of transformation roadmaps, implementation plans and business cases. Identify cross-functional dependencies and help coordinate delivery across business units.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior leaders across Operations, Commercial, Technology, Finance and Transformation teams. Build strong relationships with programme managers, PMO teams and executive sponsors. Produce clear, concise materials suitable for Board and Executive-level audiences.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking individuals who combine strong analytical capability with an understanding of how large-scale transformations create value.
Essential Requirements:
- 2–5 years' experience within a leading management consultancy, transformation advisory team or corporate transformation environment.
- Strong understanding of programme management, PMO or TMO disciplines.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation, change, operational improvement or strategic programmes.
- Exceptional PowerPoint, Excel and analytical skills.
- Ability to distil complex information into clear executive-level insights.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business performance drivers.
Preferred Background:
- Experience within transport, infrastructure, logistics, aviation, rail, mobility or other complex operational environments.
- Exposure to value creation, performance improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
- Experience supporting Executive Committees, Steering Committees or transformation leadership teams.
- Familiarity with benefits tracking, KPI frameworks and programme governance.

This role would particularly suit candidates coming from McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Kearney, Strategy&, EY-Parthenon, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, PA Consulting, Capgemini Invent or Alvarez & Marsal, looking to move into a strategic in-house transformation role with significant executive exposure.
