Responsibilities
12 week probation period on a temporary contract with offer to go permanent for the right person.
- Join projects across Somerset and Dorset region, including Bridgwater, with office based in Yeovil.
- Work 07:30‑17:00 Monday to Friday, with up to 1 hour travel.
- Perform a variety of second fix tasks: fitting small kitchens and bathrooms, installing skirting boards, putting locks on doors, fitting splashbacks, repairing UPVC doors and windows, general maintenance to ensure functionality.
- Social housing experience essential; work in tenanted properties on general repair and maintenance.
- Basic plumbing, tiling, patch plastering, floor laying, mould and damp treatment desirable.
- Use job tickets or handheld devices linked to a live shared system.
- Manage own day and workload effectively.
- Always deliver outstanding service to customers with understanding that you are working in their homes.
- Follow exemplary health and safety policies and standards.
Upon successful completion of assignments, a positive finishing reference will secure further long‑term opportunities.
- Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with second fix skills.
