Working within a highly respected luxury design studio, you'll contribute to globally recognised hospitality and hotel schemes. Known for tailored, layered interiors and an architectural approach to luxury, the practice offers exposure to international projects and a collaborative, design-driven culture.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the creative vision for assigned projects, developing concepts and presenting ideas with clarity.
- Oversee FF&E direction, selecting furniture, finishes, materials and accessories for hotel and hospitality schemes.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to shape design palettes, mood direction and overall project identity.
- Prepare design boards, sample selections and coordinated material packages.
- Produce and manage detailed specifications, schedules and supporting documentation.
- Create bespoke furniture concepts and develop detailed drawings where required.
- Manage project budgets and support value engineering activities when needed.
- Work closely with procurement teams, guiding purchasing decisions and monitoring progress.
- Maintain and organise control samples, ensuring accuracy across all FF&E information.
- Review technical drawings, provide feedback and ensure items are manufactured to the expected standard.
- Act as a key contact for clients, consultants and suppliers, representing the design team professionally.
- Attend site visits, design workshops and occasional international meetings or presentations.
- Research new materials, products and suppliers to keep the studio's library and knowledge base current.
- Mentor junior members of the FF&E team and provide guidance throughout project stages.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8 years' experience in hospitality, hotel and restaurant design.
- Proven experience running small to mid-scale projects or leading packages within large-scale hotel schemes.
- Strong FF&E background with impeccable taste levels.
- Experience delivering projects from concept through to site installation.
- Extensive knowledge of procurement processes and working with procurement agents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Spec Sources, Spec Designer and InDesign.
- Strong communication, leadership and team-management abilities.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive.
- Knowledge of traditional and contemporary interior materials, furnishings, accessories and artwork.
- Strong sourcing knowledge across FF&E and finishes.
- Fluent in English.
