I'm working with a highly regarded, multi-disciplinary consultancy seeking a Senior Director within its Transport Planning and Development Planning leadership team in Birmingham. This is a strategic, senior leadership appointment, reflecting both the scale and complexity of the regional workload and the firm's longer‑term growth ambitions. This role offers a discreet, high‑profile opportunity to operate at the top of the Transport Planning function, providing strategic direction, influencing client relationships, and shaping the future of the practice in the region. You will work collaboratively with other senior leaders across the UK, contributing to multi‑regional projects and sharing expertise across offices.
The Role
This appointment combines senior technical oversight, strategic leadership, and commercial influence. You will provide direction across a portfolio of major development‑led transport planning projects, while supporting team development, client engagement, and growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Senior technical and strategic oversight of complex transport planning commissions
- Leadership input across major multi‑sector development projects (residential, commercial, education, retail, leisure, energy)
