Are you an established EIA practitioner or environmental planner with at least 5 years’ experience looking to advance your career? Do you want to work at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure development and address major environmental challenges? Our client is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their Environmental Assessment and Consenting team due to a growing project pipeline.
You will manage large, complex projects, support business development, and contribute to the company's growth. While based in Edinburgh, hybrid working arrangements are available.
The Role- Manage delivery of large projects, including client and subcontractor coordination, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify and mitigate project risks with support from the Project Director.
- Provide technical leadership in environmental or planning specialisms and advise clients in renewable energy and other sectors.
- Prepare tenders, quotes, and fee proposals.
- Review and prepare technical reports for approval.
- Engage in business development and networking.
- Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
- Assist in team management, including finance, planning, and forecasting.
- Degree in an environmental discipline with 5+ years' experience.
- Chartered Environmentalist or Town Planner status, or progressing towards it.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong report writing skills.
- Knowledge of UK planning and environmental legislation.
- Experience in business development is a plus.
- Line management and mentoring experience.
- Full Driving Licence.
