I am working with a fast-growing, well-backed organisation in the clean energy space that is looking to bring in a Renewables Analyst to support the development and delivery of solar and battery storage projects across the UK. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their career (or looking to step up) who wants to sit at the intersection of data, commercial strategy, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Building and refining financial models for solar & battery projects (IRR, NPV, payback, etc.)
- Analysing energy generation, consumption, and cost data to assess project viability
- Supporting early-stage solar system design and yield analysis
- Creating clear dashboards and reports to inform decision-making
- Working closely with commercial, technical, and delivery teams
- Conducting market and pricing research to strengthen project business cases
What They're Looking For
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present complex data
- Experience with tools like Excel (advanced), Power BI, SQL, Python or similar
- Understanding of renewable energy project economics (solar and/or battery preferred)
- Familiarity with concepts like IRR, NPV, PPA structures, and energy savings models
- High attention to detail and a naturally curious, problem-solving approach
- Degree in a numerate subject (e.g. Economics, Engineering, Maths, Finance, Science)
Bonus Points For
- Experience with solar design tools (e.g. Helioscope, PV Sol)
- Exposure to AutoCAD or GIS tools
- Knowledge of behind-the-meter solar projects
