We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to work on busy construction sites across Reading and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will carry out a variety of carpentry tasks on residential and commercial building projects while maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety.
Responsibilities
- Carry out first fix and second fix carpentry on construction sites
- Install stud walls, joists, flooring, doors, frames, skirting, and architraves
- Read and work from site drawings and plans
- Work alongside site managers and other trades to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with site regulations
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (essential)
- Proven experience working as a carpenter on construction sites
- Ability to complete both first fix and second fix carpentry
- Own tools required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team
- Good understanding of site health and safety procedures
