Our client, a leading property investor specialising in commercial and residential properties in London, is seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all invoices are addressed to the relevant company and uploaded to QBO via a dedicated email address.
  • Prepare and process supplier payments, ensuring the director signs off all payments.
  • Upload invoices to Auto entry software for accountants, which feeds into accounts software, using dedicated email addresses for each company.
  • Ensure all invoices are paid from the correct company account.
  • Transfer funds between company bank accounts to maintain sufficient balances for expenses.
  • Submit dormant company accounts and confirmation statements in agreement with external accountants.
  • Maintain property deal ledgers on Excel and provide accurate information for accountants.
  • Keep profit and loss summaries for all deal ledgers.
  • Save sale and purchase completion statements in the relevant company folders for accountant access.
  • Prepare morning and afternoon bank balance summaries for the director.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external accountants, providing answers and information to support the accounting process.
  • Notify accountants of new company incorporations.
  • Maintain and update the internal companies list for all ongoing deals.
  • Produce various reports for the director on an ad‑hoc basis for land and property projects.
  • Use QBO to produce creditor reports for the director’s sign‑off of supplier invoices, and reconcile supplier invoice and payment discrepancies.
  • Manage credit control for rental income, ensuring rent is collected per rental agreements.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in finance within the property sector.
  • Strong data entry skills and proficiency with spreadsheets, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential information.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Confidence in effective and accurate communication with senior management, clients, suppliers, and accountants.
  • Knowledge of QBO is preferred; training will be provided.

Salary £50,000 per annum.

Working Hours Monday to Friday, 9 am – 6:30 pm, office based – underground parking available.
