Senior or principal environmental consultants are sought to join the Planning and Environmental Consenting team and support the delivery of projects in the energy, water, rail, highways, and buildings sectors across the UK, with opportunities to work on international assignments.
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), managing environmental inputs across multidisciplinary teams, and working closely with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients such as Network Rail, National Highways, Thames Water, Southern Water, National Grid, renewable energy providers, and local authorities.
- Lead and review project deliverables, build strong client relationships, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the development of new areas of business.
- Help ensure projects are deliverable and environmentally responsible from feasibility through to construction.
Qualifications
- Degree in an environmental or related discipline.
- Solid experience in environmental coordination, assessment, or management, ideally within a consultancy.
- Strong understanding of the EIA process, excellent communication and report writing skills, and the ability to manage deadlines and client needs.
- Chartered status through IEMA or another relevant professional body is preferred but not essential.
