An established civil engineering and transport planning consultancy in London is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing team of 10. With a strong presence in the residential market, this is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in an established civils team.

Responsibilities

  • You will be the technical lead on residential sector projects, ranging from small to large-scale housing developments.
  • Delivering flood risk advice to support planning applications (FRA preparation).
  • Designing strategic highways and drainage infrastructure.
  • Preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Utilising Civil 3D, Site 3D, and Causeway Flow.
  • Designing and submitting SuDS schemes for adoption and/or long-term maintenance.

What You'll Need / Qualifications

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in the design and delivery of residential infrastructure projects.
  • Strong skills in Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, and Site 3D.
  • Ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and work independently.
  • Experience with flood risk assessments and sustainable drainage systems.
