Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced Painters to join a prestigious hotel refurbishment project in Newcastle. This role involves high-end interior fit-out, ensuring a premium finish across guest rooms, hallways, staircases, and communal areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of surfaces including sanding, filling, and undercoating
- Application of emulsion and gloss finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and trims
- Finishing to a high standard in occupied and unoccupied hotel rooms
- Working on stairwells and corridors with precision and attention to detail
- Maintaining clean and tidy work areas and ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations
- Following site safety procedures and company standards
- Working independently and as part of a small professional decorating team
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card (Blue or higher preferred)
- Recognised Painting & Decorating Qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
- Proven experience on similar high-spec projects, ideally in hotels or luxury accommodation
- Own tools and whites required
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to producing top-quality work
- Ability to work safely and cleanly in live or sensitive environments
