You’ll be part of a regional technical team supporting multiple live and upcoming residential developments, working closely with internal departments, consultants and statutory authorities to deliver fully coordinated infrastructure solutions.

The Opportunity

This is a varied, hands‑on civil engineering role within a residential development environment, where you’ll be responsible for delivering complete infrastructure packages across housing schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing and coordinating detailed adoptable road and foul/surface water drainage designs
  • Preparing and managing Section 38, Section 104 and Section 278 submissions through to approval and adoption
  • Developing external levels strategies and private drainage layouts
  • Coordinating foundation design requirements with external consultants
  • Assembling full civil engineering packages for residential developments
  • Liaising with local authorities, highway authorities and water companies
  • Supporting discharge of engineering and planning conditions
  • Managing approvals, technical agreements, inspections, bonds and adoption processes
  • Resolving engineering issues throughout the design and construction phases

About You

  • Experience in civil engineering within a residential development or consultancy environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Section 38, Section 104 and Section 278 processes
  • Ability to produce and coordinate infrastructure design packages for housing schemes
  • Understanding of highways design standards and drainage design principles
  • Familiarity with Sewers for Adoption guidance and Building Regulations Part H
  • Experience using AutoCAD and civil engineering design software such as PDS and MicroDrainage
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or similar (HNC or equivalent minimum)
  • A proactive, detail‑focused approach with strong problem‑solving ability
