The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a client operating across the Transportation sector, collaborating closely with key stakeholders, such as Local Authorities, Train Operating Companies, Network Rail, TfN, and the DfT, to drive positive outcomes.
Salary: £46,000 - £53,000
Location: Manchester (Hybrid working arrangement: 3 days in the office/ 2 days WFH)
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing financial processes, systems and reporting mechanisms, for the set up & operation of the organisation.
- Support the development of our client, audit & risk management strategy & reporting processes for the organisation, to continuously align with the organisation as it develops & evolves.
- Managing the day-to-day relationships with contracted service providers, ensuring effective negotiation, interpretation, and adherence to established contractual agreements.
Required Experience:
- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
- Fully or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CIPFA).
- Proven experience in financial management within a public sector-focused environment, skilled in financial systems development and reporting.
- Strong understanding of public sector finance, as the ideal professional would need prior client-side experience, ideally within the public sector - examples include Network Rail, Transport for the North (TfN), the Department for Transport (DfT), Transport for London (TfL), Train Operating Companies, the NHS, Local Authorities, or the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
