The Role
My client, an established smallish firm of Quantity Surveying consultants, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor at either Project Surveyor or Senior Surveyor level to join their City of London office.
You will be responsible for running your own projects and, ideally, running several projects concurrently while working closely with clients, architects, and interior designers.
Projects cover retail and fit‑out for flagship stores and offices, sports clubs, and high end residential projects.
The Company
My client is a small busy firm of PQS based in the City of London.
- The Candidate
- Currently working for a UK firm of PQS.
- Experience at Project Surveyor or Senior Surveyor level (2+ years preferably with a PQS).
- Good experience of both pre and post contract work, contract administration, cost plans, tender documentation, and tender analysis.
- Experience of managing contractor procurement and providing recommendations to the client.
- Support value engineering exercises to achieve project budgets.
- Recognised UK qualification in Quantity Surveying (e. g., BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics).
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Stable work record.
- Salary & Benefits
Salary ranges from £50,000 to £60,000 for Project Surveyor level, and £60,000 to £70,000 for Senior Surveyor level, plus bonus up to 5%, pension, RICS fees, and other benefits.
