The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Planned Works Supervisor to join a well-established social housing provider delivering planned maintenance and improvement works across Barnet and Enfield. This is a permanent role offering long-term stability, a strong pipeline of work, and the opportunity to play a key role in improving residents' homes and communities.
This position would suit a supervisor who is comfortable managing contractors, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction within occupied properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage planned maintenance and capital works programmes across occupied social housing stock
- Oversee external contractors and in-house teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification
- Carry out pre- and post-inspection of works, signing off completed jobs to quality and compliance standards
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, building regulations, and housing standards
- Act as a key point of contact for residents, addressing queries, managing expectations, and resolving issues professionally
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and quality, reporting on KPIs where required
- Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and asset teams to support programme delivery
- Accurately record works, inspections, and progress using internal systems
About You
- Proven experience as a Planned Works Supervisor, Site Supervisor, or similar role within social housing or local authority environments
- Strong knowledge of planned maintenance programmes (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, windows, cyclical works)
- Excellent understanding of health & safety and compliance in occupied properties
- Confident managing contractors and multiple workstreams across different sites
- Strong communication and customer service skills, particularly when dealing with residents
- IT literate with experience using job management or asset systems
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
