A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a strong Site Engineer with either a tier 2 contracting background or experience within a self‑delivery environment. The Role
You will support day‑to‑day delivery across a range of civil engineering packages, ensuring works are set out accurately, executed safely and aligned with programme and specification. Working closely with Agents, Project Engineers and commercial teams, you'll help maintain progress, manage change on the ground and uphold high standards of documentation and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out, surveying and maintaining accurate site records
- Supporting the delivery of reinforced concrete structures, scour protection works and MSP packages
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with RAMS, design and specification
- Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors and designers to maintain programme alignment
- Producing ITPs, QA documentation, as‑built records and daily reporting
- Identifying risks early and supporting practical mitigation strategies
- Upholding CDM compliance and company procedures across all site activities
Experience Required
- Background with a tier 2 contractor or self‑delivery civils environment
- Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, earthworks, drainage or structural civils
- Experience delivering or supporting FRC, scour protection, or MSP works (desirable)
- Competent with setting out, surveying equipment and site documentation
- Solid grasp of temporary works, construction sequencing and site safety
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or similar
