A well-established and highly regarded removals and transport business based in Wimbledon is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional, reliable driver who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service to customers.
The role offers flexibility around employment status, with both PAYE and self-employed arrangements available. Working as part of an experienced removals and logistics team, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of household and commercial moves across London and the surrounding areas. The position is hands-on and varied, combining driving responsibilities with practical involvement on site. While the primary focus is HGV driving, you will also be expected to drive smaller vehicles when required, depending on the nature of the job. Working hours will include some evenings and Saturdays, reflecting the needs of a busy removals operation. There is no Sunday working, offering a degree of work-life balance within a flexible role.
Key Responsibilities- Driving HGV vehicles safely and professionally in line with company and road safety standards
- Supporting removals jobs on site, including loading and unloading, packing, dismantling and reassembling
- Driving smaller vehicles when needed to support operational requirements
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure each job runs smoothly and efficiently
- Representing the business positively when dealing with customers and the public
This role will suit someone who is dependable, practical, and team-focused, with a strong background in removals.
You Will Ideally Have- Previous experience working within a removals business (essential)
- A valid HGV licence and relevant CPC qualification
- A flexible and positive attitude towards working hours and duties
- A genuine team-player mindset and willingness to muck in when needed
- Confidence driving both HGVs and smaller vehicles
