Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and co-ordination of the companies Safety Management Systems.
- Assist in planned and ad hoc audits to ensure that Hyde policies and procedures are consistently implemented and adhered to throughout the workplace both by Property Maintenance staff and contractors, and actively promote compliance.
- Work with the Property Maintenance H&S Manager and H&S Team to develop and deliver a range of toolbox talks, practical and technical health, safety and environment related training courses to ensure compliance with the companies Policies & procedures.
- Assist and support the Property Maintenance Health and Safety Manager and provide cover as required.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and surveys to evaluate compliance.
- Assist in the identification of HS & E training needs for employees and develop and deliver a range of Toolbox Talks and more formal HS & E related, and Skills training as required.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safe systems of work to reduce and manage risks appropriately.
- Provide support and guidance to trade teams to maintain safe systems of work, including but not limited to manual handling, work at height and unlicenced asbestos work.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents, identify causes, and assist in the development and implementation of corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
