A growing boutique planning consultancy in Winchester is looking to appoint an Associate Town Planner to join its expanding team. Working closely with Directors, you’ll take ownership of a varied caseload across residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments, managing projects from initial appraisal through to determination and appeal.

The role is suited to an MRTPI‑qualified planner with at least five years’ post‑qualified experience, gained in consultancy, local authority or both. You’ll be confident managing client relationships, preparing high‑quality planning submissions and advising on planning strategy across a range of development projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications across residential, commercial, and mixed‑use projects.
  • Managing the appraisal process, from site assessment to final determination.
  • Handling appeals and preparing strategy documents.
  • Maintaining client relationships and delivering high‑quality reports.

Key qualifications:

  • MRTPI qualification.
  • Minimum five years post‑qualified experience in planning consultancy or local authority.
  • Strong report‑writing and commercial awareness.
  • Experience in appeals and knowledge of the South East planning landscape (advantageous).
