Overview
Grinding Operative β Rail at The Construction Index Ltd. McGinley are seeking PTS Rail Grinding Operatives for ongoing rail works across Kent and London, with immediate starts available. This is a long-term opportunity within a professional and safety-focused team. Shifts will be available during weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out rail grinding tasks to improve track condition and extend rail life.
- Working as part of a safety-critical team on live rail infrastructure.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Following instructions from supervisors and adhering to Network Rail safety procedures.
- Preparing, operating, and maintaining grinding machinery and associated tools.
- Supporting the wider team with general track maintenance as required.
Requirements & Competencies
- TR80 ticket
- PTS (Personal Track Safety)
- Previous experience in rail grinding operations is preferred
- A strong commitment to health & safety and teamwork
