We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Unvented Plumber to join a well-established local contractor's responsive repairs team. This role involves working across social housing properties in the Heathrow and Crawley areas, delivering a wide range of plumbing and maintenance tasks to a high standard.
Job Details
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
- Location: Heathrow & Crawley
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Day Rate: £150 - £200 per day
Responsibilities
- Installing, servicing, and maintaining unvented hot water cylinder systems in domestic social housing properties.
- Carrying out plumbing repairs and replacements, including pipework, valves, taps, and sanitary fittings.
- Installing, commissioning, and testing kitchen and bathroom plumbing systems in both void and occupied homes.
- Diagnosing and resolving leaks, faults, pressure issues, and performance problems within domestic water systems.
- Conducting system pressure testing and ensuring all works comply with current safety regulations, manufacturer requirements, and performance standards.
- Communicating professionally with tenants, providing clear information and minimising disruption during works.
- Accurately completing job reports, risk assessments, and statutory compliance documentation using a PDA or mobile device.
- Participating in the out-of-hours (OOH) standby rota when required.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- UTR number required for payment (self-employed subcontractor status)
- City & Guilds or Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies
- G3 Unvented Hot Water Certificate
- Asbestos Awareness, UKATA or IATP
- Basic DBS Check
